The Katsina State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dikko Umar Radda, has officially announced a large-scale recruitment initiative to fill 2,158 vacant teaching positions across public schools in the state. 

  • This strategic move is a testament to the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of and addressing critical staffing gaps within its primary and secondary institutions.
  • Of the total number of vacancies, 1,500 qualified teachers will be deployed to primary schools, while 658 will be assigned to secondary schools. 

This significant recruitment drive is a key component of the state’s broader efforts to improve educational outcomes, reduce the teacher-to-student ratio, and strengthen the overall teaching and learning environment at both foundational and advanced levels.

  • A dedicated committee established by the government is tasked with overseeing this recruitment exercise. 
  • It has opened the application portal to indigenes of Katsina State who possess the requisite qualifications. 
  • Applicants will be considered for identified vacancies in various schools, based on the subjects currently in demand.
  • On the portal, applicants will be able to select their preferred school and subject(s) for teaching before completing the application form.
