Position: Driver (Field Only)
Locations: Kaduna, Borno & Bauchi States
Employment Type: On-site
Job Summary:
The Driver will be responsible for providing safe, timely, and efficient transportation of staff, visitors, goods, and equipment.
- The role also involves ensuring CRS vehicles are properly maintained, compliant with safety standards, and always ready for operational use.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport staff, partners, and materials according to CRS policies
Carry out daily assignments including pick-ups, deliveries, and field movements
Conduct routine vehicle inspections (engine, tires, fluids, brakes, etc.)
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fueling, and safety equipment readiness
- Accurately record trips, fuel usage, and inspections using digital systems (m-VMS/VMS)
- Report accidents, breakdowns, or security incidents promptly
- Support preventive maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
- Ensure compliance with CRS safety, safeguarding, and fleet procedures
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods and equipment
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect in all interactions
- Promote safe and fuel-efficient driving practices
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE/GCE or equivalent
- Valid Nigerian driver’s license with strong knowledge of traffic regulations
- 3–5 years of professional driving experience (INGO experience preferred)
- Basic vehicle maintenance and defensive driving knowledge
- Familiarity with GPS and mobile/digital reporting tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (local languages are an advantage)
- Physically fit and able to work in challenging field environments
